NISD Digital Library (OverDrive) is a service purchased for the entire district to allow users to check-out ebooks, audio books, music, videos, and other digital material, and use it on their Nooks, Kindles, iPhones, iPads, etc. This is the same system the San Antonio Public Library uses, if you are familiar with theirs. Students will need to use their student number (lunch number) WITH THE S IN FRONT to check-out a book from the NISD Digital Library. Teachers and staff will need to use their e number with the E in front. OverDrive will not allow an elementary student to check-out middle and high school books.
FollettShelf is the Michael Elementary Library collection of Ebooks. Each year we purchase a variety of Ebooks that students and teachers can access at home, school, or from anywhere with access to the web. These books are unique to our Michael Library. Students and Staff must use our log in to gain access.

TumbleBooks are animated, talking picture books which teach kids the joy of reading in a format they'll love. TumbleBooks are created by taking existing picture books, adding animation, sound, music and narration to produce an electronic picture book which you can read, or have read to you. TBL also includes National Geographic videos and games.
Tumblebooks can be accessed from all our school computers, at home with an internet connection, and reading tablets that have Flash Adobe 8.0+, and most smartphones.
Each year the Michael Library subscribes to TumbleBooks for our students and staff. A log in is required.
